Il dipinto è composto da una scena di figure in primo piano vestite con classici indumenti veneziani del Settecento, intente in attività di vita quotidina e di commercio. In primo piano abitazioni veneziane con i classici comignoli veneziani. Sullo sfondo un'isola con chiaro rimando all'isola di Venezia.
Il dipinto si trova in buonissimo stato conservativo. E' impreziosito da una cornice veneta in legno intagliato e dorato della metà del XX secolo.
