END OF THE 18th - EARLY 19th CENTURY PAIR OF MOUNTAIN LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS

About the Item

Beautiful pair of oil paintings on canvas on first canvas. Both depict mountain landscapes, in particular a "view in Graubünden." One painting depicts a sunny landscape with people and small huts, while the other shows mountain peaks with ibexes. The painting technique is exceptional, with a realistic rendering of the landscapes. The paintings are in excellent condition and are contained within gilded wooden frames. Probably the work of an unidentified Piedmontese painter active between the end of the 18th and the beginning of the 19th century. Measurements: H x W x D 59 x 72.5 x 3cm
