Late 18th/Early 19th Century Copy of Rembrandt Self Portrait

About the Item

This is a very good copy of an early Rembrandt self-portrait, the painting was executed by a very competent early 19th century romantic artist. The intense gaze of the subject holds the viewer's attention and brings him into the story of the painting. The work is very well-painted, but unfortunately, it is not signed. There is a gallery stamp on the back of the canvas. Unfortunately, the painting has not retained its original frame and we have chosen not to reframe it.
