Francky Criquet nasce, in Francia, nel dipartimento della Sartre, il 18 settembre 1968 da
una famiglia che si occupava della raccolta e della rivendita di metalli e altri oggetti di vario genere.
La sua infanzia è quindi caratterizzata dal contatto con moltissimi oggetti usati, a volte anche d’arte, che concorreranno a formare in lui un importante bagaglio di immagini, storie e materiali diversi.
Fin dalla tenera età dimostra una grande attitudine per il disegno, la scultura e l’arte in generale; nonché una grande curiosità e voglia di apprendere, che gli permetterà di costruirsi una estesa cultura , in particolar modo concentrata sulla storia, la mitologia e la religione, che, unita alle precoci esperienze artistiche ed alla sua difficile situazione familiare, lo accompagneranno e lo indirizzeranno nel suo percorso creativo.
Francky è un pittore onirico e “visionario”, i temi, spesso colti e profondi, che ispirano le sue opere sono trattati in un modo fortemente gestuale: le figure mitologiche, potenti ed imperiose, contenute nei suoi quadri, sono sempre contaminate da ritmi musicali, colori sgargianti e contrastanti che lui realizza e avvicina palesando doti di “gusto” non comuni.

Colpiscono i colori, la forza comunicativa, la bellezza delle figure rappresentate, la ricchezza della simbologia utilizzata, il groviglio che spesso le lega che ci permette, scoprendo nuovi dettagli ogni volta, di completare o riformulare letture precedentemente eseguite.
E’ una pittura di getto, forte e fluida al tempo stesso; travolgente e raffinata, violenta ed emozionante, colta e istintiva.
Un mix che affascina e non può lasciare indifferenti.
* TECNICA: La vernice e' una miscela di pigmenti in polvere e pigmenti liquidi con un legante acrilico, talvolta accresciuto con pastello a olio.
Per il fissaggio di certi colori Francky Criquet usa della colla naturale per carta mescolata con polveri ultra-sottili di pietra calcarea (per l'opacita' dei bianchi) e "carbone di legna" per le linee e le architetture.
Per la composizione delle masse sono spesso usati: marrone, nero candela o grigio payne
