About the Item

Leonard "Buzz" Wallace passed in January 2021 at the age of 88. He worked as a full time artists and teacher in Orange and Sullivan Counties in Upstate New York. Wallace's work stands alone and is highly regarded and revered as a master abstract expressionist painter. Oil paint on paper laid on matte board. Signed in pencil, Wallace, lower right corner. Circa 1960. This piece and many more works by Leonard Wallace will be available here. Good overall condition with some light foxing and fade. Wear consistent with age. The piece has never been framed, so the work on paper has soft edges and corners and the corners retain the pin holes where the artist tacked the piece to his work surface. Approximately 18" wide x 12" high. The approximate measurements with the matte are 20.5" x 16". Unframed.
