Pair of 18th Century Louis XVI Watercolors in Original Giltwood Frames
About the Item
These antique colorful watercolors were crafted in France circa 1780, set in the original giltwood frames with glass protection, each art work depicts a courting scene with a young gentleman romancing a young beauty. Both pieces are set in a very scenic landscape with trees, farm house animals; each youngster is dressed in elegant and traditional Louis XVI clothing. The paintings are in excellent condition with rich and vivid colors. The backing of each frame is upholstered with the original parchment paper with French wording.
