Poster of the Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Français (SNCF) to promote tourism in France, particularly in Verdun.
In the center, the monument of Victory and the soldiers of Verdun. A warrior, helmeted and leaning on his sword is framed by names of battle sites, the Porte Chaussée at his feet. The monument was built from 1926 by the architect Léon Chesnay.
The symbol of Victory, leaning on her unsheathed sword, shows that she is once again ready to use it for the defense of the nation.
