About the Item

Original Japanese press sheet poster for the 1953 film “Niagara”. This American film noir was directed by Henry Hathaway, and stars Marilyn Monroe, Joseph Cotten and Jean Peters. It tells the story of two couples who are visiting Niagara Falls. The wife of one of the couples plots with the husband of the other, to kill her husband, but all does not go to plan. Monroe was given first Billing on this film, which propelled her to super-star status. The size given is before framing. The framed size is 26 1/8 x 20 3/8 in. (66.2 x 51.7 cm) the poster is paper-backed and conservation framed with UV Plexiglas in an Obeche wood frame and a card mount. This piece would be boxed and shipped by Federal Express.
