One of the most important and influential artists of the 20th century, his art left a profound impact on the development of modern and contemporary art. He was born into the family of the painter José Luís Blasco, who influenced the young artist's introduction to art. For a few years, Picasso lived in La Coruña, Barcelona and Madrid (where he studied at the San Fernando Academy of Fine Arts).
