18th C. Set of 3 Etchings of Harbor Scenes in Gilt Frames

About the Item

A set of three antique Dutch engravings and etchings from the 18th Century. This set has been professionally framed in newer gilt frames and feature acid-free paper to protect these antique and rare works of art. One represents the city of "Gamron" in old Persia and it is a work of art of Pieter (or Pierre) Mortier, Dutch cartographer.The second represents the harbour of the antique city of "Del Mina" in Guinea and is printed by Pieter L. Schenk, a German artist living in the Netherlands most of his working life. The third, also printed by Schenk, represents the city of "Smyrna" an old Greek city which is now the current Türkiye. This artwork is from the early 18th Century. These three prints could potentially even earlier for instance possibly the late 17th Century.
