About the Item

A finely detailed panoramic ink print with gouache of the Goodyear factory in the early 20th century done by Woodbury & Co, of Worcester, Massachusetts. This company was known for their industrial plant aerial view drawings, founded in 1879, with many of their drawings dating to circa 1890-1920, but still remained an active printmaker until the 1990s. These aerial views were drawn for early advertising and corporate identity functions by draftsmen and engineers and then reproduced as precise photo-engraved prints by technical methods invented by Woodbury. Many were miniaturized to be used on corporate letterhead at the time. This print has been matted and framed under glass in a simple wooden ebonized frame. Dimensions: 22 in H x 64 in W, sight; 30.5 in H x 72.25 in W, framed.
