About the Item
A quite beautiful and very rare print by American artist Mary Gardner Preminger (who at one time was married to renowned theatre and film director Otto Preminger).
This work is based on a 16th century Asian woodblock (as noted in the lower margin) featuring the Buddha in a moment of quiet contemplation.
The work is hand pencil signed and dated (1970) by the artist. We are assuming this is likely a one-of-a-kind work as it is not numbered and we can not find any reference to another copy.
It has been previously framed and matted.
Would be a nice eye-catching addition to any setting.
Framed dimensions: 36.75" high, 22.75" wide, .75" deep.
