About the Item
We have a very nice an important photo of the well known artist William Claxton of Peggy Moffit in Rudi Gernreich's Topless Swimsuit" This photo was part of a friend Ray Jacob 1928- 2010. This photo is stamped , signed and dated in the back. Is not numbered and is smaller( almost 14 x almost 11 inches) and has a small crease in lower left corner, than the series of 25 made 1995 for Claxton. but it was done same year 1995 from the original negative in 1964.The print has been professionally framed acid paper free and you can see all the information in the back. Dimensions with frame 25, 21, 1.5 inches.

William Claxton, a native of Pasadena, California, is a world-renowned photographer of jazz musicians. He is best known for establishing the visual concept for West Coast Jazz photography, the photographing of musicians in natural and healthful settings associated with the California lifestyle. Musicians photographed by Claxton include such legends as Duke Ellington, Shorty Rogers, Dave Brubeck, Chet Baker, Ornette Coleman, John Coltrane, Lena Horne, Billie Holiday, Bill Evans, Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonious Monk.

William Joseph Dunlop OBE
(25 February 1952 – 2 July 2000) was a Northern Irish motorcyclist from Ballymoney, County Antrim, who won the Formula One World Championship five years in a row (1982–86) and was noted for his performances at the Isle of Man TT. In 2015, he was voted Northern Ireland's greatest-ever sports star.
Dunlop also secured a record 26 victories at the Isle of Man TT, including three hat-tricks, and 24 wins at the Ulster Grand Prix. He was awarded the MBE in 1986 for his contributions to the sport and the OBE in 1996 for his humanitarian work in Romanian orphanages. After his death, the Joey Dunlop Foundation was established to provide accommodation for disabled visitors to the Isle of Man.
