Wyer, Nantucket, circa 1900, a period print depicting a gentleman in overstuffed wing chair by the hearth, a copy of Nantucket's "Inquirer and Mirror" open on lap, smoking a cigar and leaning back lost in thought: in the curls of smoke are simple sketches of many iconic Nantucket landmarks and views. Flanking the fireplace in place of tiles are a series of miniature copies of eight of H.S. Wyer's photographs. This is one of the rarest of antique Nantucket prints...

Schooling Mackerel by Barnaby Porter, circa 1970s, a sculpture made from reclaimed wood on the mid-coast of Maine. Porter used old found wood to cut and hand paint these three mackerel "weathervanes," mounted together as a school - this was part of an original room-sized installation. The sculpture is in excellent, as made "distressed" condition as shown in photographs. Porter's work has been exhibited in the Farnsworth Museum and elsewhere and has been featured in the TV show, "Made in Maine', and in magazines such as Fine Woodworking...

Nest of three Nantucket lightship baskets, the swing handles, staves and the ears ( which attach the handle to the basket) are all carved from oak. The bottoms are made from pine and each are stenciled with the maker's mark, "R Folger Maker Nantucket Mass." Rowland Folger (1803-1883) is considered one of Nantucket's first makers of lightship baskets. His baskets are very durable and were definitely used as utilitarian.These three baskets were discovered in an attic, where they were living for the last 90 years...
