18th Century Continental Tapestry Fragment with Putti or Angels and Cartouche

About the Item

A nice example of a Continental hand wrought tapestry decorated with putti or angels and cartouche, with foliate accents and subtle tan border with raised flowers. The tapestry has a plain fabric backing, and brass rings have been added along the top to use as a wall decoration. Dates to the 18th century in very good overall condition, with minor repairs, losses, other imperfections and wear commensurate with age and use. Dimensions: 30 in H x 72 in W x .25 in D. Ref: 13371
