Set of 3 Danse Wall Hangers
About the Item
The Danse Wall Hanger is part of a collection of pieces that reinterprets the work "La Danse" by Henri Matisse, one of the most innovative artists of the 20th century. It is believed that the idea for the composition came about in 1905, while the painter was watching some fishermen performing a round dance, the sardana, on a beach in the South of France.
The spheres were used to give the piece movement and, at the same time, repetition.
