About the Item
"V Element" is a contemporary wall sculpture inspired by the timeless beauty of Venice, where architecture emerges from the water like a dream anchored in history.
Four iconic Venetian elements-St. Mark's Campanile, Ca' d'Oro, St. Mark's Basilica, and the Bridge of Sighs-emerge in relief, giving depth and dimension to the composition.
The fifth element, water, unifies and envelops the whole, evoking fluidity and transformation.
Material selection is guided by light, texture, and meaning. Blue glass recalls the depth of Venetian canals, while mirrored mosaic fragments reflect their ever-changing surface.
Each element of the composition requires thorough study and precise design. Nothing is improvised: proportions, references and reliefs are developed to ensure consistency between inspiration and execution.
Artistic vision guides each cut, bringing the architecture to life-one fragment at a time. The process follows the rhythm of the mosaic tradition.
