2 Authentic Ancient Roman Coins and 3 Imperial Marbles Silver Bracelet

About the Item

This exquisite sterling silver bracelet features the remarkable addition of two authentic Roman coins from the 2nd century AD, depicting the revered Emperors Hadrian and Trajan. Alongside these ancient coins, the bracelet showcases the timeless beauty of three Roman marbles: porphyry, serpentine, and antique yellow. Hadrian, known for his extensive travels and building projects, dedicated efforts to connect and unify the far-reaching corners of the Roman Empire. A man of aesthetic sensibilities and great education, he left behind a legacy that included not only architectural marvels like the rebuilt Pantheon and the Temple of Rome and Venus but also a collection of poetic works. His grand country residence, Villa Adriana, situated outside Rome, serves as a testament to the opulence and elegance of the Roman world. This sprawling estate covered seven square miles and featured baths, libraries, sculpture gardens, theaters, alfresco dining halls, pavilions, and private suites, some of which can still be admired today. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999, it stands as a remarkable testament to Hadrian's architectural vision. Additionally, his tomb, now known as the Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome, became a final resting place for subsequent emperors and later transformed into a fortified stronghold in the 5th century. Trajan, a Roman emperor from 98 to 117, earned the title of optimus princeps, or "best ruler," bestowed upon him by the Senate. Remembered as a successful soldier-emperor, he oversaw the empire's most extensive military expansion, leading to its maximum territorial extent at the time of his death. Trajan's philanthropic rule extended beyond the battlefield, as he initiated vast public building programs and implemented social welfare policies that contributed to an era of peace and prosperity throughout the Mediterranean world. His reign stands as one of the most benevolent periods in Roman history.
