About the Item
Basilisks are legendary creatures known as the King of Serpents. They are often described as a snake with the head of a rooster.
This pendant was converted from an antique cufflink (circa 1900-1910) by removing the cufflink backing and adding a 14k domed back and jump ring. The 14k gold charm features a basilisk with a single, green glass eye.
The piece measures 0.85 inches from the top of the jump ring to bottom by 0.6 inches wide and is in excellent condition.
The gold content has been professionally verified using both X-ray fluorescence (XRR) analysis and traditional jeweler's acid testing, ensuring its authenticity.
