Limoges Green Enamel and Pate de Verre Link Bracelet
About the Item
This link bracelet is a romantic piece featuring enamel and pâte de verre. It was made in Limoges, France, during the 1960s. The bangle boasts a chromed plated geometric framing topped with enameled domed ovoid copper elements. This popular 1950s and 1960s technique, named "cookies," was used in Limoges to create jewelry. Copper pieces were silver-foiled or gild-foiled and then decorated with clear enamel and topped with colored fused glass, creating fabulous colors with an intense glow. This piece has emerald green, yellow, pink, and fresh green colors over a silver foil background. The bracelet has a locking box clasp with a chain security. There is a signature engraved on the clasp that reads "IA." The artist is not identified.
The bracelet is in good condition, with light metal wear on the underside. The enamel pieces are in excellent condition.
Measurements: The bracelet's total length is 7.50 in (19 cm), and its width is 0.69 in (1.7 cm). It will best fit a Medium-sized wrist.
