About the Item
Robert Lee Morris, over the 5 decades of influential work, created many variations and families of chains, using carved castings that were linked in ingenious ways. His love of engineering and liquid geometry provided a wide selection of chain challenges and ideas. This one is solid polished brass, using a twisted loop as the main and only shape. The large end of the twisted loop connects directly into the smaller end of the following unit. No jump rings are used, only a continuous chain. The clasp is a classic sturdy plunger style, and actually provided a nice punctuation in the overall design. Hefty, chunky gutsy and glamorous as fashion jewelry, it is seven rows, attached from the clasp and then allowed to gather in a soft cluster of luscious chains. Easily maintained with a polishing cloth, brass polish or just soap and water.
