18 Karat Gold Nine Precious Gems Statement Handcrafted Bracelet with Enamel Work
This impeccable antiquated Mughal era style hand-crafted Navratan (nine) gems and polki diamond cluster bracelet is sensational. Navratnas of the nine gemstones represent the nine planets on which Indian astrology is based and wearing them together is believed to attract good positive vibes from all planets. The nine gems, namely, ruby, diamond, pearl, yellow sapphire, cat’s eye, garnet, coral, emerald, and blue sapphire each have a symbolic meaning comprising of happiness, health, wisdom, energy, success, beauty, life, intellect, power, wealth, and marriage. The placing of each gemstone is also emphasized for the right virtues from the nine gems on the bracelet.
The perfectly shaped emerald cut cabochon nine gems are aesthetically held in the solid gold bezel art-deco setting exemplified by the mix fancy shape polki diamond cluster covering each of the nine gems creating the illustrious look as they’re flexibly linked together. The inclusion of perfect round solitaire pearls on either side of the bracelet forms the outer border for the complete royal look of the bracelet.
The bracelet is enameled in royal blue meena forming the flower with the red and green enamel creating the leaves on each of the back part of nine gems. This kind of Meena/enamel form is also called “Panch Rangi Meena,” inspired by the several colors of enamel used to create the overall look. It’s a very intricate work by the engraver, as several layers of enamel coloring take place to elevate the ring. The enamel work is usually done on the back (gallery) of the bracelet to elevate its elegance.
The solid 18 karat gold is purposely used in these enamel/Meena pieces, as the meenakari shows the best on gold as it has a natural sheen that sets off the colors of Meenakari beautifully. It also holds the enamel better and adds shine to it.
This instrumental design and Navratan ring style dates back many centuries and is an heirloom magnanimous design for all occasions.
