About the Item

Antique ca. early XX cent. Beetle Brooch modeled as an Insect that looks like a beetle, skillfully assembled by from many separate parts. Made of Gilt Silver decorated with natural Orange Yellow Citrine, two Garnets and five Seed Pearls. The claws on the back can be pushed open if wings are pressed with the fingers. If wings released hidden internal spring will push /return the claws to closed position again. No hallmarks. Likely made on the territory of Austrian - Hungarian Empire before it collapsed. Beetle is about 16 mm long X 16 mm wide x 10 mm deep. Oval cut cut Citrine measures 8.5 mm x 6.5 mm x 4.5 mm deep / ca. 1.5ct Weight : 2.05 grams. Patina on silver and Rose Gold Gilding ( can be cleaned ) . Stones in finest shape. Strong internal spring. > Most of the items that we sell are not new at all if not stated otherwise.
