About the Item

A pair of Victorian enamel dragon cufflinks, each circular gold link embossed with a green, blue and red enamelled Chinese-style dragon, circa 1880, gross weight 9.3 grams. These fabulously detailed enamel cufflinks come from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. These cufflinks were made in around 1880 and feature colourful enamel in a Chinese style, each depicting a green dragon with a blue, red, and green tail. During the late nineteenth-century, Europeans were fascinated with Eastern art and motifs, resulting in designs such as these cufflinks which drew inspiration from Chinese art. Should you choose to make this purchase we will delighted to send it to you in a Bentley & Skinner handmade leather case packed in a gift-wrapped Bentley & Skinner black and gold presentation box. Shortly afterwards we will send you on a valuation for insurance purposes for your reference and safekeeping.
