You cannot help but fall in love with this beautiful antique diamond Crescent moon pendant necklace.
This is a conversion piece, the Crescent was originally part of a bar brooch and it has been turned into a pendant necklace along with this pretty antique chain.
The beautiful curved moon with decorative petal like shapes each set with a twinkling old cut diamond, approx 0.32ct in total.
The crescent has a silver front and this was often used in antique pieces as the silver enhances the diamonds beautifully.
The moon is suspended from a 9ct gold antique trace link chain with a barrel clasp.
Crescent moons were a popular motif in Victorian and later Edwardian jewellery, they are attributed to a number of meanings from feminine strength to changes or new chapters.
Such a magical piece this would be the perfect gift for the lover of celestial jewellery.
Marks and era:
Late Victorian era c1890s moon tests as 15ct gold with a silver front, the chain is Edwardian c1900s, stamped on the clasp 9ct.

Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, clasp is a replacement.
