Antique Shakudo Dragon Conversion Necklace
About the Item
Depictions of dragons are used throughout the Japanese culture as symbols of strength, courage, and magic.
This unique shakudo dragon pendant was originally a Japanese mixed metal menuki dating to the late 1800s transformed with a 14k gold backing and bail.
The pendant measures 1.9 inches from top to bottom by 0.6 inches wide and it is in very good condition.
It is accompanied by a 16 inch, 14k gold chain.
The metal content of this necklace was verified via XRF (x ray analysis) and with jeweler's acids.
