About the Item
This Edwardian 15k gold star pendant has six flower-like petals that radiate outward. The petals have pearls that graduate in size, with the biggest pearls in the center of the star, surrounding a single prong set pearl. Between each petal is an arm that ends in a star shape, adorned with a large pearl that mirrors the size of those in the center. The overall effect is that of a 12-pointed radiating star that appears as though it could be sparkling in the night sky. The pendant has a slight convex shape to it that adds depth to the piece. Around the center pearl, tiny triangles were hand-cut into the piece to give it an airiness, perfect for celestial jewelry.
A bail connects to a small piece of chain that attaches at the back of the piece, which allows the pendant to have a little extra movement as it dangles from a chain. The bail measures 5 x 7 mm. The pendant measures 1 1/8” across. It weighs 4.25 grams.
