A vintage modernist geometric bracelet, created in Denmark by Anton Michelsen for the porcelain company of Royal Copenhagen, back in the late 1960's. This rare bracelet was part of the Royal Bini collection, is futurist, massive and sculptural. It was crafted in .925/.999 sterling silver and embellished with six round disc elements with a diameter of 31 mm, made of glazed white porcelain. This rare bracelet was produced in very limited quantities in the late 1960’s as part of the ‘Royal Bini’ collection of ceramic jewelry produced by Royal Copenhagen after the acquisition of Georg Jensen. Spatialism earrings designed by Anton Michelsen for Royal Copenhagen. A vintage modernist geometric earrings, created in Denmark by Anton Michelsen for the porcelain company of Royal Copenhagen, back in the 1960's. These pair of clips earrings has been crafted in .925/.999 sterling silver and embellished with a pair of circles made of glazed white porcelain. Those elements are arranged with spheres of different sizings that emerge from the porcelaine creating a spatialism sculptural composition. Rare pieces, produced in very limited quantities in the late 1960’s as part of the ‘Royal Bini’ collection of ceramic jewelry produced by Royal Copenhagen after the acquisition of Georg Jensen. This collection was sold exclusively through the Georg Jensen shop in Copenhagen in the late 1960’s. The earrings, itself, like the rest of the collection, are sleek, refined and of high impact. They have a total weight of 15.3 Grams and a diameter of 31 mm (1.22 Inches). Stamped with the maker's mark for Royal Copenhagen, the Danish hallmarks and signed, "A.M. DENMARK STERLING 925". Anton Michelsen (1809–1877) was born 1809 in Copenhagen Denmark, he completed a goldsmith's apprenticeship in Odense in 1839 before moving back to Copenhagen where he continued his training in Dyrkoph's and court goldsmith J.B. Dalhoff's workshops. He also attended the Royal Danish Academy of Arts where he was influenced by Gustavfriedrich Hersch. In 1836, he went on a long journey abroad, working in some of the leading goldsmiths in Germany and Paris. He established his own goldsmith in Gothersgade, Copenhagen when he returned to Denmark in 1841. He immediately won the attention of the royal family and the king Christian VIII charged him with executing all Danish orders with title of royal court and order jeweler. Michelsen was the only Danish goldsmith who was represented at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1855. The company of A. Michelsen, was a leading Danish jeweler founded in 1841 by Anton Michelsen in Copenhagen. It was responsible for executing all Danish royal orders and was absorbed by the Georg Jensen company in 1985. Crafted as a flexible cascade of multiples tines, made up in Sterling Silver, Silver, Plated Yellow Gold, Plated Rose Gold, and Plated Oxidized Silver. He liked drawing and was originally drawn towards graphic design, but was unable to find an apprenticeship. Instead, a goldsmith in Aalborg was looking for an apprentice who could draw. He soon showed an aptitude for his work and finished his apprenticeship in 1938. Jensen then sought new challenges and was employed by Hans Hansen in Kolding, Hans Hansen silversmith had an international reputation by this time. After five years at Hans Hansen Jensen sent his CV to A. Michelsen in Copenhagen, where he worked for the next forty years until his retirement in 1985. After just four years he became the foreman for the goldsmith workshop, he simultaneously studied and became a qualified gemologist and diamond expert. At Michelsen Eigil Jensen fulfilled many different design assignments, including jewelry, Christmas spoons, and hollowware.
