About the Item
A beautifully carved white jade pendant, featuring a double chilong motif intertwined within a cloud disk, a design highly favored in Ming and Qing dynasty archaic jade carvings. The central hole represents traditional bi-disc symbolism, while the small top hole allows for pendant suspension. The reverse side is smooth, highlighting the natural translucency of the soft white jade.
The chilong, mythical dragon-like creatures, were revered for their protective and auspicious qualities, making this pendant a symbol of strength and prosperity. The openwork carving enhances the pendant’s elegance, reflecting the mastery of jade artisans.
