Antique 19th Century Russian Imperial Silver & Cloisonne Enamel Spoon

About the Item

A very fine antique Russian tea or kvosh spoon. In 84 zolotnik silver. By Otto Reinhold Pettelius of St. Petersburg. With polychrome cloisonné enamel decoration to both the front and reverse. Hallmarked to the handle of the spoon. Simply a wonderful piece of Imperial Russian silver! Date: ca. 1838 - 1874 Overall Condition: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is noticeable gold wear to the bowl and some edge wear to the silverrr, ant there is a small amount of enamel loss. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Otto Reinhold Pettelius Marks: Marked to the neck with O.P. for Otto Reinhold Pettelius / an 84 zolotnik fineness mark. Fineness: Marked .84 for 84 zolotnik (.875) silver fineness.
