THIS IS A SUPERB AND VERY RARE TRIO OF THREE VICTORIAN - EDWARDIAN GENTLEMEN. THE BRONZE SCULPTURES ARE CHARMING ANTIQUE AUSTRIAN VIENNA BRONZE. THE THREE MEN LOUNGE AS IF IN A PARK, ONE LEANING ON A RAILING. THEIR FACES, CLOTHES, POSES AND EXPRESSIONS ARE WONDERFUL. THE TWO SINGLE FIGURES DO NOT STAND ON THEIR OWN. THEY CAN LEAN AGAINST THE RAILING OR YOU CAN USE SOME PUTTY OR QUAKE HOLD TO STAND THEM UP.
These wonderful antique Austrian Vienna Bronze (Bronze de Vienne, Wiener Bronze, Cold Painted Bronze) figures date to circa 1900-1920. The bronzes are very possibly made by Bergmann although not signed.
The imagery is absolutely fabulous and oh so charming.
The seated man is 3 inches (7.5 cm) tall and the railing is 3 1/2 inches (9.5 cm) wide.
The standing men are 3 1/4 inches (8.5 cm) tall. The bronzes are solid.
