About the Item
This charming little scarf clip has been created in the Japanese taste popular in 1875 ca. The front of the scarf clip is decorated with animals and flowers in relief. Three different colours of gold have been applied to create an open air scene depicting a swallow on fight, a butterfly, different kinds of flowers in different colours, variations of blades of gras and ear. On the inside a thorn is fixed onto the back half of the clip. The thorn secures this charming piece of jewellery to the fabric. The clip opens and closes with the tenion created by the metal spring mecanism.
