Adams Blue & White Pottery Pls. Note this is ( Thick and heavy white traditional pottery - not porcelain ) and is a beautiful dressing table display tray which would be sat between a pair of matching candlesticks - from the designed range - either-side and teamed with possibly a hair pin tray as well as other items such as a pomander dish - it was a dressing table look used in the Victorian times to - as we might say today streamline organization for a ladies vanity needs - This reproduction made by Adams from the original Victorian pieces they produced is date around 1970s - the style is classic and timeless - Blue and white Renaissance design style that is loved today by many . Adams Pottery is a British pottery company with a long history, tracing back to the Brick House Works in North Staffordshire in 1657. Established by John Adams or Burlsem, the company moved to Cobridge in 1770 and then partner with William Adams and Sons Ltd in 1819. The company was later absorbed into the Wedgwood Group in 1966.
