We are proud to introduce these spectacular platinum Art Deco lorgnette folding eye glasses, that are now part of our diverse antique jewellery collection. The magnificent eyeglasses feature an intricately designed elongated octagonal frame, showcasing elaborately detailed filigree work that highlights the delicate and unparalleled craftsmanship of the 19th Century. They are complemented by 2.2cm long tapered handle, beautifully designed with meticulous art deco motifs inlaid with approximately 0.15ct of diamonds, attached to one side to easily hold them to the eyes. These stunning glasses are both practical and elegant thanks to the hinged bridge that allows them to fold neatly and become a monocle or magnifying glass. Accompanying these unique folding spectacles is a matching platinum lariat chain measuring 30 inches in length, with a 2 inch extension where the glasses attach, so they can be worn around the neck, adding a touch of sophistication to any ensemble. The chain itself is designed with small, ornate links and two spring lock clasps, one on each end, and decorated with 10 eight cut diamonds, weighing approximately 0.20ct combined, echoing the meticulous attention to detail seen in the glasses.
