About the Item

This elegant Georgian mourning ring was made in England in 1800 ca out of 15 karat yellow and rose gold and is decorated with black and white enamel. The front of the ring is designed as a large black and white circle with a domed glass in the center. The ring shoulders are each decorated with three white circles decreasing in size. Each circle frames a golden quatrefoil before a black background. The reverse is engraved Elisabeth Padget ob 8th May 1800 at 34. The locket has no hair.
