About the Item
An Edwardian ruby and diamond cluster ring, the oval faceted ruby weighting 1.66 carats, accompanied by Gem & Pearl laboratory report stating to be of Burmese origin with no indication of heating, surrounded by seven old brilliant-cut diamonds estimated to weigh 1.25 carat in total, all claw set to a gold mount with tapering shoulders, circa 1905, measuring approximately 1.3x1.2cm, finger size O, gross weight 3.2 grams.
This ring is in very good condition. Unmarked, tested as 18ct gold.
A beautiful and sparkling ruby and diamond ring from the Edwardian era. This ring features a gorgeous central ruby surrounded by a cluster of scintillating diamonds, set with yellow gold claws to a yellow gold band. The yellow gold adds warmth and shine to the deep pink hued stone and the dazzling diamonds. This lovely piece comes from the antique ring collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales and would make a beautiful and unique engagement ring or a wonderful dress ring.
