A lustrous "cherry-red" 18 mm trillium Brazilian pink tourmaline cabochon rests like a juicy gumdrop in the center of rich 22K gold surrounded by fine "pasir" granulation accents in this exquisite handmade masterpiece. This stone has a lot of life and is nicely and elegantly contrasted with the texture of the granulation. This piece is currently sized 7. It is resizable. This will be a treasured piece in some lucky owners collection!

After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
