Ancient Roman 2nd Century AD Septimius Severus Coin Sterling 18K Gold Mens Ring
About the Item
An authentic silver "denarius" coin from 193-211 AD depicting the Roman Emperor Septimius Severus is set in an 18K gold bezel surrounded by an accenting gold double bezel atop a wide "double spirals" Steven Battelle designed matte-finish sterling shank. This substantial piece is currently sized 11.5 and is resizable within a few sizes. During his reign, Severus expanded the borders of the Roman Empire, conquering Mesopotamia and parts of Scotland. He also made a number of reforms to the imperial government and is credited with stabilizing the Roman Empire after a period of civil war. This ring is sent with a laminated lifetime certificate of authenticity. An impressive and historic piece that will be much discussed!

Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age.
