About the Item
Cocktail dinner ring of sparkling square cut Amethyst and accented with stunning Pink Sapphires. This bold ring features a 16.39 carat Amethyst and 12 round Pink Sapphires, 6 per side, 2.07ctw. This gorgeous ring is 1.25 inches side to side. It is Sterling Silver and a sizable 7.25, which your local jeweler can alter if necessary. Amethyst is the February birthstone and is said to protect from intoxication and evil spells. It will calm your spirit and give you focus. Pure quartz is colorless, but the most prized variety is Amethyst, the purple variety. It's always been considered a 'royal color' and is featured in the British Crown jewels. It was also a favorite of Catherine the Great and Egyptian royalty. It has long been used in Christian jewelry and in the Christian seasons of Lent and Advent. Kathy lives by the motto, "Go Big or Go Home," and fell in love with jewelry design when she met founder Hans Stern, a pioneer in designing jewelry with Brazil's vibrantly colored gemstones, Mr. Stern invited her to his workroom, shared his expertise - and she was hooked. Martha and Kathy met while living in Rio de Janeiro and they have been design partners and friends ever since.
