About the Item
A unique architecture for this ring conceived by the designer Michel Tortel for QITTERI. As in a Mondrian painting transformed into a complex architecture, the colours of a rhodolite garnet, a tourmaline and an aquamarine blend, dialogue and harmonise in space, creating unprecedented plays of light that are projected onto the hand.
This ring, which is very complex to manufacture with its superimposed and suspended trays, required a long development and several innovations. It is entirely handmade.
The rhodolite garnet of 6.06 carats has an IF purity, its perfect baguette size is 14.2 x 7.2 x 4.9 mm. The Tourmaline of 1.64 ct has a purity VS+. Its baguette size is 8.7 x 6.2 x 3.35 mm. It comes from a deposit in Mozambique. The 4.8 carat aquamarine has a VS+ clarity. Its baguette size is 22.3 x 6.55 x 4.15 mm.
Made with 13.53 grams of 18 karat white rhodium-plated gold, the design was conceived to allow for the mixing of the colours of the different gems.
The design is inspired by architecture, history and art, and focuses on highlighting unique colour harmonies. Harmonies patiently built up by demanding choices and adjustments and tested at various times of the day.
A complex drawing, sublimated by a design with pure lines never seen before, allowing the stones to be seen from all sides as if suspended in space, thus revealing their play of colour and light in two and three dimensions thanks to the unusual gems from the four corners of the world.
This model, like each of its stones, is unique. It can be adjusted for sizes not far from 54 which is its current size.
This ring is intended for outings, parties and cocktail parties.
The beauty of its stones, its design and its originality will always attract the eye. It will also be a subject of daily contemplation depending on the different hours and lights of the day.
