About the Item
A fascinatingly unique 21 x 25 mm trillium cabochon of Australian Koroit Boulder Opal is highlighted with an 18K gold bezel surrounded by a line textured double bezel atop a comfortable flattish organically textured contrasting dark oxidized sterling shank. This ring is currently sized 8, and is somewhat difficult to resize. Koroit boulder opal is only found in one region of Queensland, Australia. Amazing contrasts and one-of-a-kind without a doubt!

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
