About the Item
A large, juicy, gumdrop of a Brazilian blue-green indicolite tourmaline (one of the rarest colors of tourmaline) is held lovingly in a signature Steven Battelle ancient-inspired "3-point" bezel with granulated "pasir" accents. All on a substantial tapered shank currently sized 7.5. This ring is resizable. Stones of this color are often dark and lifeless. This 18 x 24 mm pear shaped stone is luminous and lively in all lights.

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
