A fancy cut 10 x 12 mm olive colored octagonal green tourmaline is held with intricate ancient-inspired fine hand applied wire work and granulation in this masterpiece of artisanal high-karat gold smithing. The slightly tapered matte-finish band has a similar ornament. This ring is currently sized 7. It is resizable.

Steven Battelle
After a chance trip to SouthEast Asia in 1987, Steven Battelle became fascinated with the jewelry and iconology from the ancient cultures of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, and Asia. Eventually forming a partnership with a dedicated group of Balinese village goldsmiths using painstaking handmade techniques, they together create unique designs that incorporate those timeless and classic motifs. He incorporates primarily cabochon gemstones as well as ancient Greek and Roman coins, each piece capturing the feelings of a bygone age. If you wish to create your own special piece, similar to a style we make, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do.
