About the Item
A gem-set ring designed by Bvlgari.
Beautiful vintage piece of jewelry, created in Rome, Italy by the iconic jewelry house of Bvlgari. This ring is part of the Bvlgari collection privee and was carefully crafted with great attention to details in .900/.999 platinum. Finished with high polish and bezel set on top, with three great natural earth mined gemstones.
Sapphire: Mount in the center, in a flush setting with one oval faceted cut (5.2 x 7 x 3.5 mm) of a Ceylon vivid blue Sapphire of 1.02 carats.
Diamonds: Flanked at the sides in flush settings, with a pair of round brilliant cuts diamonds, 0.24 carats, white colorless E/F Color, VS-1 clarity.
Weight: 8.85 Grams, (5.67 Dwt).
Size: 6.25, sizeable.
Measurements: From the top view are 20 mm by 9 mm, (0.79 x 0.35 Inches).
Stamped, with the maker's mark, the Italian gold assay hallmark, the specific weight of the gemstones, and signed in full, "BVLGARI .750 MADE IN ITALY R 1.09 Cts.".
Bvlgari, was founded in the late 19th century by Sotirio Bulgari, who was born in 1857 in Greece and was descended from a talented family of silversmiths. In 1884 he opened his first shop in Rome on the Via Sistina, and then in 1905 he moved to the actual flag's store in Via dei Condotti. Upon Sotirio’s death in 1932 his sons, Giorgio and Costantino, took over the business. They are credited with creating the highly distinctive ‘Bvlgari’ style, inspired by Greek and Roman classicism revival, the Italian Renaissance, and the 19th century Roman school of goldsmiths. The 1970s marked the beginning of Bulgari’s international expansion with the opening of stores in New York (the first overseas), Paris, Geneva and Monte Carlo.
Note: The blue sapphire is natural from from Ceylon (Sri Lanka), it is transparent, have great saturation with vivid colors and not heated.
Collateral: It is accompanied by the designer's presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the gold. The gemstones are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.

Bulgari
Greek silversmith Sotirios Voulgaris arrived in Rome in 1881 and set up his own shop there in 1884, calling it Bulgari, an Italianization of his last name (eventually spelled BVLGARI, using the classical Latin alphabet in a nod to ancient Roman culture). In 1905, he opened the company’s flagship boutique on Rome’s Via dei Condotti.
Although the house found success with its silverwork and Art Deco designs, popular through the 1920s, its signature style — bold, often using yellow gold embellished with big colorful gemstones — began to emerge when Sotirios’s sons inherited the business, in 1932. The brand truly hit its stride in the dolce vita era of the 1950s and ’60s, when the founder’s grandsons Paolo, Gianni and Nicola Bulgari decisively departed from demure traditional styles to develop the house’s exuberant multi-gem looks, attracting celebrity collectors like Elizabeth Taylor.
In the 1940s, Bulgari debuted perhaps its most famous design, the Serpenti bracelet watch. The piece’s snakelike coils were made possible by the tubogas jewelry technique, which links a flexible series of thin horizontal bands. Both the sleek, modern tubogas construction and the sinuous snake motif continue to be synonymous with the Bulgari brand.
