C1880 14 Carat Peridot and Diamond Flush Mount 3 Stone Ring
About the Item
Flush mount rings, otherwise known as gypsy rings, became popular during the late Victorian period through the 20th century. Easy to wear and low maintenance, with the stones chiseled into, rather than on the surface of the metal, such rings suited the active lifestyle of men and women alike.
The carved diamond surround and the round center stone with the 4 carved points form what is known as a carre setting, a highly skilled technique of fitting a round jewel into a square surround. We love the carre setting as well as the combination of diamonds with the peridot.
