Our extremely rare and historically important Longines was manufactured in 1915. The manually wound cal. 12.91 movement was invoiced and exported to Russia in October 1915 where it was housed by Schwob ( the then agent for Longines in Russia) in a locally made and extremely attractive 14k rose gold tonneau case with mineral glass and notably, an unusual brass dial with art nouveau style cursive numerals dial in blue and subdial for seconds. The case with integral lugs could be considered over size in period, measuring a prominent 42mm x 31mm (inc crown). Coming directly from a collection, this Longines benefits from a full factory service in April 2022, with warranty until May 2024, and is accompanied by the service warranty card, service booklet , service pouch, as well as redacted correspondence and a detailed receipt for the works undertaken, totalling a significant £3194.50, which includes a restoration and service of the movement, case repair, certificate of origin and authenticity (extract from the archive) as well as a Longines black leather custom made strap and pink gold Longines tang buckle. This fine and impressive antique chain has been crafted in 9k rose gold. The Albert chain is composed of oval curb links, each individually struck with the 9k gold fineness mark (9.375). A hallmarked T-bar suspends from a rounded jump ring. The T-bar is hallmarked with the maker's mark 'J.K', the 9k gold fineness mark and the Birmingham Assay Office hallmark (anchor). The rounded jump ring is struck with the Birmingham Assay Office mark and the date letter for 1912 (n). An impressive 'Albertina' chain crafted in 9k rose gold, 14 karat yellow and rose gold; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This exceptional, fine and impressive antique watch chain has been crafted in 14k yellow and rose gold, with a 9k rose gold T-bar. The multi-stranded 'Albertina*' is composed of three 14k yellow gold chains. The chain is fitted to one end with a 9k gold swivel clasp, hallmarked '9C'. The chain is fitted with a 9k rose gold T-bar, hallmarked with the 9k gold fineness mark (9.375), the Birmingham assay office hallmark (anchor) and the maker's mark 'WHWLD'. The five links from which the T-bar suspends are each struck with the 9k gold fineness mark (9.375), and one of the links the Birmingham assay office hallmark (anchor) and the date letter for 1910 'l'. The chains are ornamented with an ornate floriated 14k yellow and rose gold bead, which may move freely along the length of chains. A second floriated bead ornaments one end of the chain, from which a chain and ten-tailed tassel articulates.
