Deming on the Park

Perched overlooking Lincoln Park’s North Pond, this 3,500-square-foot Chicago condo marks the first of what will be four transformative projects with this adventurous client. Designed for a close-knit family—including a newly teenage daughter at the time—the home is a testament to bold vision and boundary-pushing design.

Arriving with no furniture in tow, the clients sought a fresh start—one infused with rich color, unexpected moments, and a refined yet playful energy. They wanted to be challenged, encouraging us to rethink spatial flow and inject personality into every corner. The greatest design feat? Defining distinct spaces within an expansive open-plan layout, creating zones that seamlessly balance family comfort, entertaining polish, and artistic expression.

With a curated approach to their growing art collection, we layered in personal and statement-making pieces—ones with the depth and staying power to evolve alongside them. Contemporary yet soulful, saturated yet sophisticated, the result is a home that is as refined as it is energetic - tailored for work, play, and everything in between.
