Four Seasons Residence

Apartment by ASH NYC in New York, NY

Upon entering the home, one is greeted by jazzy furnishings and sky-blue walls that foreshadow the sublime panoramas to come. To the right, at the northwest corner of the plan, is the 28-foot-long living room. The space's soaring windows and high-ceilings are brought down to scale with ASH’s plush and comfortable furnishings that are a mix of contemporary and traditional. Gold and glass accents such as a coffee table and lamp, echo the building’s Art Deco aesthetic drawn up by Robert A.M. Stern.

Behind are a family room and kitchen that can be closed-off from the living area with large pocket doors. The room is defined by a bowing bay window that is complemented by a circular dining table, mirror and light fixture. In the eat-in kitchen, modern black-metal bar-stools contrast with the wood-finished cabinets and breakfast bar.

The three bedrooms all have sunset views to the west. ASH furnished them with cozy, neutral-toned bedding that is juxtaposed with hard-edged modern pieces. Herringbone-patterned oak floors are seen throughout the home and each bedroom has an en-suite bath.
