Family Home by Kristen Ekeland Interiors in Lake Forest, IL
For Studio Gild’s bedroom in the 2020 Lake Forest Showhouse, designed for a teenage girl, we decided to play with the dichotomy of what it means to be feminine today. Drawing inspiration from androgynous fashion editorial photographs, we balance soft, luxuriant fabrics with militant tassels from an officer’s epaulet.
