Exquisitely done profile of a cat done with graphite, watercolor and brushed wash by the Norwegian born artist, Charles Hermansen. Signed lower middle. Circa 1940. Condition is very good. Beautifully professionally matted and gallery framed. Overall framed measurements are 18.5 by 15.5 inches. Under glass. Provenance: A Sarasota, Florida collector.
Charles Hermansen was born in Norway in 1903 and moved to New York City when he was a young boy. His father Fendtjou Hermansen was
also a artist that was known for his animal portraits. Both lived and worked in New York.
